RealSimGear Firmware Update Utility

WARNING: The RealSimGear Firmware Update Utility is not used for updating the RealSimGear X-Plane Plugin, RealSimGear MSFS Device Interface, or CommandMapping.ini files. It should only be used if you have recently updated from a much older version of the plugin/Device Interface, corrupt, or missing firmware.

Improper use of the firmware utility can cause device failure that may require your device to be sent to our repair center for correction. If you have any questions regarding the firmware utility and its usage please contact the RealSimGear Support team at: support@realsimgear.com

Firmware Files

Current versions of the firmware files are included with the RealSimGear Firmware Update utility. After installation of the firmware utility, you can find the firmware files in the following location in Windows 10/11: 

"C:\Program Files (x86)\RealSimGear Firmware Utility\Data\RSG Firmware\Binary\"

Version 3.2.4 - Minimum required firmware for all current plugins for X-Plane 11/12 and Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and 2024,

  • GNS530 - Version 3.2.4

  • GNS530v2 - Version 3.2.4 (Used on units with the USB plug on the back instead of the side)

  • GNS430 - Version 3.2.4

  • GTN650 - Version 3.2.4

  • GTN750 - Version 3.2.4 - This is for use with the older v1 style GTN devices with TWO USB cables

  • GTN750v2 - Version 3.2.4 - This is for use with the newer v2 style GTN devices with ONE USB cable

  • GFC500 - Version 3.2.4

  • GFC500v2 - Version 3.2.4 (This is for the newer versions with the USB connector on the back of the unit)

  • GFC700 - Version 3.2.4

  • GMA350 - Version 3.2.4 (This is for the older versions with a USB connector on the side of the unit)

  • GMA350v2 - Version 3.2.4 (This is for the newer versions with the USB connection on the back of the unit)

  • G1000GMA - Version 3.2.4 (This is for the new version with a USB connection)

  • G1000XFD - Version 3.2.4 (Used for both PFD and MFD Gen2/3 units)

  • G1000XFD - Version 3.2.4 (Used for both PFD and MFD Gen4 units with backlighting)

  • G1000XFD1 - Version 3.2.4 (Used for both PFD and MFD Gen1 units on port 1)

  • G1000XFD2 - Version 3.2.4 (Used for both PFD and MFD Gen1 units on port 2)

  • GDU1500 15" MFD - Version 3.2.4

  • GCU47x - Version 3.2.4

  • GCU479 - Version 3.2.4

  • G5 - Version 3.2.4 (Used for both PFD and HSI units)
